The Role

You will be part of a dynamic team advising mid-market businesses and their owners and management considering a range of transactions including MBO’s, acquisitions, disposals and growth capital/debt funding Whilst the partner group work closely together, and you will have significant resource at your disposal, you will be expected to have a high degree of self-sufficiency in deal origination and execution.

The Person

The Role

Reporting directly to, and working closely with, the partners, you will be a senior member of a dynamic team advising mid-market businesses and their owners and management considering a range of transactions including MBO’s, acquisitions, disposals and growth capital/debt funding predominantly in the £10m to £100m deal size range. The person appointed will become the central day to day point of contact for all parties involved in the transaction and will need to understand and take ownership of key aspects of a transaction including drafting of Information Memoranda, modelling and project management/deal execution.

The Person

The successful candidate will be a high performer with a strong academic background and at least five years lead advisory corporate finance experience within a major accountancy practice, corporate finance boutique or investment bank. For candidates with strong relevant experience, ACA/ACCA qualification is not essential. We are looking for the exceptional work ethic, commercial awareness, and strong analytical skills as well as the ability to work to tight reporting deadlines. Strong verbal and written communication skills are vital along with the ability to quickly build relationships based on trust with a wide range of people including business owners and other professionals. Working as part of a small team on a strong and consistent deal flow and closely with highly experienced partners, there will be the opportunity to gain significant corporate finance experience and rapid career progression including partnership potential for the right candidate.

Corporate Finance Manager

The Role

Your focus will be on providing support to the team throughout the transaction process with a view to developing the skills to assume greater responsibility and eventually manage corporate finance transactions.   This is a deadline driven environment with constantly changing priorities, and although there is no defined set of tasks, you will have specific involvement in assisting in pitch presentations through preparation of company and market research, researching potential buyer lists and acquisition targets on behalf of our clients, providing insightful analysis of commercial and financial information, working with team in the preparation of business plans and financial models.

The Person

The successful candidate will be a qualified chartered accountant who has circa 24 months transaction support or corporate finance experience and is looking for an energetic environment with the scope to display initiative and creativity. Applicants should be able to demonstrate a strong work ethic and commercial awareness and have a high degree of competency with Excel and PowerPoint. Working as part of a small team with a strong and consistent deal flow, there will be the opportunity to gain significant corporate finance experience and rapid career progression.

Transaction Support Executive or Manager

The Role

You will be part of a dynamic team undertaking due diligence for transactions predominately in the £10m to £50m deal size range. You will also assist in advising the client on the transaction generally including the appropriateness of the key acquisition terms such as price, “locked” box and cash/debt free adjustments. The individual will assist senior colleagues on large and complex assignments but for less complex transactions will be the principal day to day point of contact for the acquisition target company and be responsible for collating, analysing and drafting findings on detailed financial information. The work is likely to involve some travel around the South including a requirement to stay away from home from time to time.

The Person

The successful candidate will be a qualified chartered accountant with a strong academic background who is either newly qualified or who has 12-24 months experience advising on UK private equity transactions.  We are looking for an exceptional work ethic and commercial awareness, with strong analytical skills as well as the ability to work to tight reporting deadlines. Strong verbal and written communication skills are vital along with the ability to quickly build relationships based on trust with a wide range of people including business owners and other professionals. Working as part of a small team on a strong and consistent deal flow and closely with a highly experienced partner, there will be the opportunity to gain significant transactional experience and rapid career progression.
